"And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High;
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,
to give knowledge of salvation to his people
in the forgiveness of their sins,
because of the tender mercy of our God,
whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high
to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Luke 1:76-79
If the barriers were no more...
Are they keeping us in or are we keeping them out?
What would happen if the barriers were no more?
If we go out they might come in.
What would happen if the barriers were no more?
The walls protect us from them… or do they protect them from us?
What would happen if the barriers were no more?
Cross it… we can’t nor can they.
What would happen if the barriers were no more?
They look in and we look out.
What would happen if the barriers were no more?
Barbs of pain, coils of suffering.
What would happen if the barriers were no more?
Fear… hope, hatred… love, hostility… peace.
What would happen if the barriers were no more?
Our sanctuary has become our prison… and here we wait.
